Frequently Asked Questions
Where do I start?
We will have a phone consultation to explain basic details and to determine our in-person meeting in which we will discuss and book your session.
Do you have a required deposit?
Yes, a 50% non refundable fee is required upon booking. If you can’t make it on the day of the session you can always reschedule but the initial fee is non-refundable.
Do you travel to other cities?
Yes, we travel anywhere in the world, contact us for details.
Do you edit images? What is included in this editing?
Yes, editing and retouching images includes color enhancement for an artistic effect. Retouching is available and it includes softening of skin, removal of minor blemishes, stray hairs, under eye circles and brightening of teeth and eyes.
Do you use an assistant when you shoot weddings? Is there an extra charge for this?
No, I usually work alone but have assistants and additional photographers in case there is the need for one for the reception portion of the wedding day. If you need an additional photographer the rate is $250 (required when your event has over 150 guests).
Can other people take photos at weddings while you are shooting?
Not during the ceremony, couples session or formal portraits. The reason for this is because people might interfere, get in the way and/or affect photographs with their flash cameras. Also, I strongly recommend that you designate an “event assistant” who can point out important individuals to be included in candids and also someone who can ensure no one gets in the way when I’m shooting.
Should my event last longer than scheduled, will you stay? Is there an extra charge?
Yes, a rate of $100 per hour will be charged upon delivery of images and/or products.
How long after a wedding will my images be ready?
Within 3 weeks for regular prints and CDs and about 6 weeks for albums and other products.
What is the “couple’s first meeting”?
During the wedding day, the couple meets in private before the ceremony. It’s a new twist to the traditional schedule of the day, but this is a very private moment for the couple to be alone and allows for some amazing, intimate images. I truly think it takes away some of the pressure, and nervousness. After all, this day is about the couple and their love for one another. If you’re not convinced, some couples who choose to stick to tradition can still take advantage of this time and have creative ways to capture beautiful images, without allowing you to see one another.
