This stunning pair, who I met at Astrid and Manny’s wedding and later photographed for their engagement session, got married this past weekend in sunny Miami at Thalatta Estate!
How did you meet?
We are a success story! We matched on Bumble, a dating app where if the girl is interested in the guy, the girl will have to text him via the app to speak to him. We only have twenty four hours to speak to our “match”…..if we don’t, the time expires and the match is lost. Luckily for me, Ryan used his one time a week extension time for our match. Once I saw he extended my time, I reached out to him.
Their proposal story…
On our first date he told me he used to work as a lifeguard at the Breakers in Palm Beach. After three months of dating he told me he would take me there one day to get brunch since he was told it was delicious. Fast forward to 1 year and 6 months, he told me we were finally going to get brunch at the Breakers. I didn’t think anything of it since I knew he always wanted to take me there. On our way to the hotel and while we were there, he was constantly on his phone… I thought it was weird because Ryan is not a big texter but I ignored it because the hotel was absolutely stunning. We finally get to the view of the ocean and we took a selfie… After the picture he turned me around and told me he had a letter for me. It didn’t catch me off guard because he didn’t give me one on Valentine’s Day and said he would give me a card then. I was more surprised that he actually wrote me a letter than anything else. Ryan isn’t very expressive, so the fact the he wrote a beautiful letter simply made me happy. As he put the letter away he stated how much he loved me. He reached into his pocket and took out a small cloth that was folded. He unfolded the cloth, got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!! My tears were uncontrollable and I was so SURPRISED! I hugged him so tight. He turned me around and pointed to the hidden photographer, which was the gentlemen that he kept texting all day. Ryan wanted to make sure he asked at the perfect spot while getting our special moment captured. It was the most MAGICAL and AMAZING day ever.
